normaly this barranco - near Playa Santiago / la Gomera - is dry. it's the dryest corner on this beautiful island.

but in december 2002 - near fullmoon - a big rain came down.

the people, who live in the barranco, say: "first there was a strange noise, like a big rolling thunder,

then the waters came down verry quick and breake, at the end, through the big barriere of stones into the ocean."
